Dockyard Roller Derby is Tacoma’s original WFTDA flat track roller derby league. Founded in 2005, as Dockyard Derby Dames, Dockyard has grown into a fully functional skater-run, non-profit organization. 

We are a diverse group of athletes who are passionate about volunteering, dedicated to our league, and professionally work hard as spirited skaters devoted to fostering partnerships within our community.

We have built a strong base of talented skaters by recruiting, training, and retaining skaters. This momentum to keep growing as a league and compete has gained Dockyard recognition among the roller derby community.

Our goal as a league is to promote skater athletes' physical and mental strengths. We maintain a competitive athletic program, promote the sport of roller derby, and make a positive impact in our community. We strive to build community and everlasting relationships while advancing serious competition on a regional level. Our league is currently comprised of two teams, our charter team, Wave of Mutilation, and our B-level team, Undertow.

We spend our time training to become better athletes and planning, operating, and promoting our league within our community.

Dockyard Roller Derby is an all inclusive, skater-run Flat-track roller derby league committed to growing the sport through community engagement, empowerment, and charitable fundraising.
